Couple busted for growing marijuana

— Couple busted for growing marijuanaAlva Freeman, 37 and Tammy Freeman, 35 of Little Rock were arrested over the weekend for the manufacture of marijuana.
“We got information they were growing the plants outside of their home off Hwy 494 in Newton County,” Newton County Sheriff Jackie Knight said. “Upon arriving at the residence and further investigation we discovered 12 marijuana plants.”
According to Knight this is not the first time the Freeman’s have been arrested. They were arrested several years ago on the possession of marijuana.
The Freeman’s are currently being held in the Newton County Jail.
