NEWTON — PUBLIC MEETINGS

• The following meetings are open for public attendance.

• Newton County Board of Supervisors meet first Monday at 10 a.m. and third Thursday at 9 a.m.

• Newton Aldermen meet first and third Tuesday’s at 5:30 p.m.

• Decatur Aldermen meet first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

• Newton County School Board meets on the second Monday each month at 6 p.m.

• Newton Municipal School Board meets the second Monday of each month.

• William Garrison, 30, aggravated assault

• Ricky C. Lay, 30, DUI first offense, seatbelt violation

• Vince Smith, 33, trespassing, disturbing family peace

• James Croker, 32, possession of marijuana, alcohol, paraphernalia, concealed weapon

• Marcus Michaels, 30, possession of marijuana

• Woodie Bufkin, 33, possession of alcohol, large amount

• Christopher Walker, 33, resisting arrest, no tag, suspended drivers license

• Timothy L. Nicholson, 39, FTA, public drunk

• The following arrests were made by the Decatur Police Department last week.

• Jason Yarbrough, 22, possession of alcohol

• Bradley Hughes, 19, possession of alcohol

• Reno King, 33, suspended drivers license, speeding

• Elizabeth Rogers, 46, careless driving, suspended drivers license

• Deangelo Taylor, 30, suspended drivers license, speeding

• Ollie Temple, 53, domestic violence, simple assault

• Jose Delarosa, 39, DUI

• James Blalock, 61, hold for questioning
