Southern Pine schedules power outages

From Staff Reports
The Newton Record

NEWTON

If you previously received a letter from Southern Pine Electric Power Association stating that your power would be turned off there has been a change in the scheduled outage.

An outage that had been planned for Tuesday through Thursday, Nov. 18-20, has been postponed.

The new outage dates are Dec. 2, 3 and 4 and will affect customers in the communities of Liberty, Garlandville, Bethel, Baxter, Robert, Ponderosa, Bender Lane, Success and Hero according to Staking Foreman Jim Mason.

The outage is being scheduled to allow for an upgrade on the substation and will only be out in these areas for a couple of hours a day.

If customers have questions, they may call the local Southern Pine office at 601-683-2200.
