NEWTON Mimie C. Robinson

Graveside services for Mimie C. Robinson were held Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Justin Chaney officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Robinson, 94, of Newton, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Newton Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.



Maggie Rene ‘Peggy’ Everett

Funeral services for Maggie Rene “Peggy” Everett were held Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Everett officiating. Burial was in Pine Bluff Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Everett, 82, of Ackerman, formerly of Newton, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at the Choctaw County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church.



Elizabeth Cooper Comams

A celebration of life for Ms. Elizabeth Cooper Comams was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church in Decatur. The Revs. Mark Vincent, Stan Buckley and Jim Yates officiated with burial in Decatur City Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home of Union was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Comans, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at her residence in Decatur.

Survivors include; Barbara Comans Powers and her husband Paul of Kosciusko, a son; Johnnie Wayne Comans and Wife Sandy of Decatur, five grandchildren; Paula Powers Yates and husband Jim of Starkville, Jonathan Powers and wife Kelly of Kosciusko, Kristin Comans Slay of Decatur, Kasey Comans Thomas and husband Josh of Hattiesburg, Kody Comans and wife Blair of Decatur, four great-grandchildren; Zach Slay of Decatur, Foster and Jon Paul Yates of Starkville, Bailey Davis Powers of Kosciusko, She was survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Comans was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Comans, three sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Kody Comans, Jonathan Powers, Jim Yates, Josh Thoms, Kelly Aldermen, Billy Yelverton, Zach Slay and Foster Yates and honorary pallbearers were Don Cooper, Ken Ledlow, Walter Blanton and Dr. James Yelverton.

Ms. Comans was an active member of Clarke -Venable Baptist Church and also her Sunday School class for many years.
