Robinson
Reverend Tommy George Robinson was born March 14, 1940 to the Reverend George Lee Robinson, Sr. and Mrs. Emma Odessa Thompson Robinson.
He joined the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where he served as a member and leader of the choir. He also served faithfully as a deacon until the Lord elevated him to the gospel ministry. Pastor Robinson was a graduate of the Newton Vocational High School and the McKinley Theological Seminary of Jackson, Mississippi. Pastor Robinson was also one of the members of the Original Mighty Kings of harmony Quartet Group. He had the voice of an angel and loved to use his talent to glorify God in song. Pastor Robinson was married to the late Mrs. Sally Mae Hill Robinson. After the death of his first wife he was wed to Mrs. Lovie Hutchins Robinson.
Pastor Robinson was the Shepherd of some of God’s Best People. He was blessed pastor the White Stone Missionary Baptist Church in Newton, The Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church of Bay Springs, The Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Morton, The Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Toomsuba, His Spiritual Bride of 27 years the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Tuscola.
Reverend T.G. Robinson was an active member and supporter of the East Mississippi Baptist State Convention, Incorporated where he previously served as a trustee, The National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Incorporated and the Third New Hope district Association, where he served as the President of the District Congress. Pastor Robinson has preached the gospel in several states and evangelized across this country.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Lovie Robinson; six children- Ms. Ruby Jeanette Roberts of Biloxi, Mr. Brain Keith (Mia) Robinson of Waldorf, Md., Mr. Tommy Kyle Reginald Robinson of Conway, Ms. Sandra Anita Temple of Meridian, Ms. Sarah Chyneice Harris Tingle of Conway and Mr. Tomya Gabriel Robinson of Conway. Seven grand children- Mrs. Nia Slay, Ms. Teanna Moore, James Roberts, Tyree Roberts, Bryanna Robinson, Aaron Robinson, Mykala Robinson; one sister, Ms. Essie Lee Robinson, three brothers Rev. S.M. Robinson, Sr., Rev. Nathaniel Robinson and Mr. George Lee Robinson, Jr. A mother-in-law Mrs. Sarah Gray, one sister-in-law Ms. Alice Tate Robinson, one brother-in-law Mr. Fred hutchins, one special God son Mr. Truman Leflore, one special son in the Gospel Pastor Dewayne bloodsaw and a host of nieces and nephews and family and friends. One brother preceded him in death- Mr. Charlie Robinson. Four sisters preceded him in death- Ms. Bonnie Bell Lorine Temple, Mrs. Luvicy Baker, Ms. Bonnie Ruth Robinson and Mrs. Jesse Mae Moore. Two sisters-in-law preceded him in death- Mrs. Annie Leflore and Ms. Johnnie Hutchins.
