ECCC Announces Summer Sports Camps Schedule

NEWTON — Numerous sports camps are again being offered at East Central Community College in Decatur. The summer schedule also includes baseball camps being provided at various off-campus sites.

The 2008 summer sports camps schedule is listed below:

SOFTBALL: May 28-29, 9 a.m. to noon for ages 7 to 13. Registration will be held the first day of camp from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Cost is $50. For more information contact Scott Hill, ECCC Softball Coach, Phone 601-635-6301, or call toll free 877-462-3222, ext. 301. His email address is shill@eccc.edu .

SOCCER: Seven-v-Seven Girls’ Camp, Saturday, June 7. Registration deadline is May 30. Cost is $20 per player. Seven-v-Seven Boys’ Camp, Saturday, June 14. Registration deadline is June 6. Cost is $20 per player.

“Micro-Magic,” June 9-11, 6 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 4-8. Registration deadline is June 1. Cost is $50 per camper; additional family members can attend for $45 each. Eurotech Soccer Camp, July 7-11. Registration deadline is June 30. A $10 late fee will be assessed for campers who enroll past the deadline. A limited enrollment has been set for all three sessions. Performance Soccer 1 Session, for ages 7-9, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $125 per camper. Performance Soccer 2 Session, for ages 10-12, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $125 per camper. Team Training Session, for ages 10-18, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $225 per camper. Registration scheduled at 8:30 a.m. Instruction provided from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $60.00 per camper, which includes lunch, camp T-shirt and insurance. (Participants may attend both Decatur camps for $100.) FOREST: June 4-5, All-Skills Camp, Forest High School Baseball Field. Registration scheduled at 8:30 a.m. June 4. Instruction provided both days from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $60.00 for both days of instructuion and includes accident insurance and camp T-shirt. CARTHAGE: June 5-6, All-Skills Camp, Carthage High School Baseball Field. Registration scheduled at 1:30 p.m. June 5. Instruction is provided from 2 to 5:30 p.m. June 5 and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 6. Cost is $60 for both days of instruction and includes accident insurance and camp T-shirt. LOUISVILLE: June 9-10, All-Skills Camp, Ivy Park. Registration scheduled at 8:30 a.m. June 9. Instruction provided both days from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost is $60.00 for both days of instruction and includes accident insurance and camp T-shirt. PHILADELPHIA, June 11-12, All-Skills Camp, Burnside Park. Registration scheduled at 8:30 a.m. June 11.
