The Union Lady Jackets went 2-2 in last week’s basketball action, beating Enterprise and Scott Central and losing to Newton County and Northeast Lauderdale.
The Lady Jackets brought a 4-2 record into this week. After going to West Lauderdale on Tuesday, Union returns home to host Kemper County on Friday.
The Lady Jackets then go to Neshoba Central on Dec. 11.
Union girls 60, Enterprise 38
Breanna Viverette scored 22 points, 10 in the fourth quarter, as Union hammered Enterprise on Nov. 27 at Union.
Union led 14-9 after one period, 22-20 at halftime, and 38-27 to start the fourth quarter.
The Lady Jackets, 3-1, also got 16 points from Quill Parker, 10 from Yancey Tillman, and four each from Iesha Tyson and Cayla Yates.
Enterprise, 2-3, got 11 points from Katie Shepard, nine from Haley Brooke Smith, and eight from Madelyn Helms.
Union girls 56, Scott Cent. 53
The Lady Jackets took a 34-25 lead into halftime of Friday’s East Central Classic consolation game, then held on for the win to improve to 4-1.
Union outscored Scott 20-10 in the first quarter.
Union got 16 points from Breanna Viverette, 13 from Quill Parker, eight from Kayla Bates, six from Iesha Tyson, and four each from Yancey Tillman and Keena Louis.
Kelcia Bufkin led Scott with 29 points. Shanequa Bufkin tossed in 11.
Northeast Lauderdale 65, Union girls 22
The Lady Trojans outscored Union in all four quarters of Saturday’s consolation bracket game in the East Central Classic at Decatur.
Northeast led 14-4 after one quarter, 29-12 at halftime, and 43-20 to start the final period.
Union, 4-2, got seven points from Breanna Viverette, six from Robin Moore, and five from Quill Parker.
Northeast got 14 points apiece from Norianna Haynes and Ceara McCoy, 12 from LaQuantia Grace, and seven from Sammone Lewis.
