The Union Yellowjackets went 1-1 in the East Central Classic last week, cruising to a 66-32 win over Philadelphia and losing 66-45 to Northeast Lauderdale.
“Philadelphia was a good win. You’re always glad to get a win,” said Union first-year coach David Glasgow. “They didn’t have their whole group. We played pretty good.
“We played hard against Northeast Lauderdale. They never quit the whole game, it’s just that (Romero) Osby’s just good. We were outmatched size-wise. Even when we played good defense and were there, we couldn’t stop him. He’s just a good player.”
After going to West Lauderdale on Tuesday, the ‘Jackets will host Kemper County on Friday, then travel to Neshoba Central on Dec. 11.
