Walker-Atkins to exchange vows

NEWTON — Curtis and Suzan Walker of Hickory, and Joey and Faye Dean of Little Rock are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Nicole Walker, to Tommy Luke Atkins, son of Tommy and Dianne Atkins of Union.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Curtis and (the late) Nell Walker of Hickory, Jack and Frances Harris of Newton.

The groom-elect is the grandson of (the late) Norman and Laverne Parker of Union and Willie Atkins of Starkville.

Lindsay is a 2004 graduate of Union High School, a 2006 graduate of ECCC and plans to attend Miss. College in the fall, then UMC in Jackson to earn a degree in Dentistry.

Luke is a 2002 graduate of Union High School and is currently employed at La-Z-Boy South.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at Hickory Baptist Church on Saturday, May 27, at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow in Hickory Town Park. Friends and family are invited to attend.

After a cruise for their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Hickory.
