Valentine-Lanier to wed October 18

— Billy and Janice Valentine of Conehatta are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristan Renea Valentine, to Jared Blake Lanier, son of Wayne and Karen Lanier of Decatur.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Myrtle Valentine and the late Elton Valentine of Lake and Cecil and Jean Parker and the late Elise Parker of Lawrence. Miss Valentine is a 2004 graduate of Newton County High School and a 2007 graduate of East Central Community College where she received an associate degree in nursing. She is currently employed at Newton Regional Hospital.
Mr. Lanier is the grandson of Hamp and Willa Estes and the late Pete Lanier of Little Rock and Bill and Shirley Glenn of Decatur. He is a 2003 graduate of Newton County High School and a 2006 graduate East Central Community College where he received an electrical degree.
The couple will exchange vows on October 18, at 4 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church in Decatur. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony. The couple plans to honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, SC. They will make their home in Little Rock.
